Axxon (former ITV) and Sony conducted a common seminar where a variety of Sony cameras have been demonstrated working within Axxon (former ITV) surveillance products (Axxon Enterprise, FaceAxxon Enterprise and Axxon Professional). The main points of the meeting were to present the newest Sony Intelligent Video Analysis enabled IP cameras and to prove full integration of Sony cameras into Axxon (former ITV) software products. Negotiations being held during the seminar led to an agreement of key importance for companies' collaboration in technology.
Sony SNC-CS50P, SNC-RZ50P and SNC-RX550P network IP cameras all have adjustable motion detector capable of noise filtering, item(s) presence/absence sensor, virtual line crossing sensor with counter option and other advanced features. Cameras can also transmit metadata containing results of video data processing already structured for further use by the system. Such a pre-processing lets users save both network bandwidth and video server CPU load. Integrating these capabilities into the video surveillance system leads to wider functionality and flexibility.
There were negotiations being held during the seminar where data submission agreement had been achieved for the integration of Sony IP cameras' intelligent features into Axxon (former ITV) products. Therefore Axxon (former ITV) has become the first Russian software vendor to get access to metadata transmission technology applied in Sony IP cameras. In the neatest future, Axxon (former ITV)'s Axxon Enterprise and Axxon Professional video surveillance systems will have this technology integrated.
Along with technological collaboration, both companies agreed to develop a common partner program to inform installer companies of Axxon (former ITV)/Sony integrated solutions' advantages. Co-op seminars and advertising campaigns will be held along with already planned participation in numerous exhibitions and international forums.
