AxxonSoft and CRPO, its local partner in Nalchik, set up a live podcast of the FIDE Grand Prize chess tournament with the help of AxxonSoft software.
The fourth stage of the Grand prize FIDE tournament takes place in Nalchik from 14 to 30 of April. Fourteen grand masters, who are members of the World Chess Big League, – Russia’s five-time champion Peter Svidler, world cup-winner American Gatha Kamsky, FIDE ex-champion Rustam Kasumdjanov(Uzbekistan) and others will take part. Prize money runs up to 212 000 euro.
FIDE (The Fédération Internationale des Échecs or World Chess Federation) is an international organization that connects the various national chess federations around the world and acts as the governing body of international chess competition. FIDE was founded in Paris, France on July 20, 1924. Its motto is Gens una sumus, meaning "We are one people". Its current president (as of January 2008) is Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, who is also president of Kalmykia, an autonomous Republic in Russia.
