ISC West 2019 - The Conclusions

04/25/2019

AxxonSoft took part in ISC West, the largest converged security industry trade show in the U.S. Our team presented their newest developments in Artificial Intelligence (AI), intelligent video search, cloud computing, integrated systems, and solutions for the retail industry.

There was a high level of business activity at the exhibition. We established more than 400 new contacts with potential partners from the U.S. and other countries, discussed future projects and the new capabilities of our products with existing partners.

Many visitors showed a great deal of interest in our AI-powered video analytics, such as human and vehicle tracking, and fire and smoke detection. Visitor attention was focused on our human behavior analytics tools. The Active Shooter detection in live video feeds was of particular interest.

Regarding security systems and information technologies, AxxonSoft is in continuous collaboration with world leading software and hardware manufacturers. At AxxonSoft's booth, we presented selected products of our technological partners and their operation with our software:

  • Intel® Distribution of OpenVINO™ toolkit that extends workloads across Intel® hardware (including accelerators) and boosts AxxonSoft's AI applications performance.
  • Seagate SkyHawk™ AI, the world's first HDD created specifically for AI-enabled video surveillance solutions.
  • Utilization of metadata (scene descriptions) from Axis, Bosch, Dahua, and Hikvision cameras with embedded object trackers which helps to reduce video analytics server expenses.

There was no shortage of interest in our retail solutions, including POS supervision, visitor counter, age and gender guesstimation, queue management, heat mapping, facial recognition with positive/negative list check, and web access to comprehensive reports.

On the first day of the show, an incident occurred that helped demonstrate the viability of AxxonSoft's technology. A mobile handset was stolen from our stand, and team members found the incident video quickly by using Forensic Search in the local cameras' recorded footage. The ISC West security officers were greatly impressed by how swiftly and easily the relevant video was retrieved.

"AI-powered analytics is rapidly becoming popular in the video surveillance industry. Such technologies as face and license plate recognition, smart Forensic Search, tracking specific object types, as well as behavioral analytics, deliver an incredible range of capabilities. Visitors to our stand were most impressed by the advanced features of our systems; indeed, some of them placed orders right on the spot! We are very happy with the outcomes of the trade show, we wish to express our gratitude to all its participants, and we are already looking forward to next year's exhibition,"

— said Alan Ataev, Global Sales Director for AxxonSoft.
